Kim and I began teaching at Pratt Fine Arts Center around the same time in 2005. She is an amazing printmaker and for several years, taught etching downstairs while I taught letterpress upstairs. I was delighted when she asked if I would print her wedding invitations for her.
The background texture was taken from an image of one of Kim's etchings: blind printed on the invitation pieces and printed in white on the black envelope liner. When the invitation pieces are stacked together, the image continues from one piece to the next.
